What should I expect?

The Troy University majorettes will work hard to maintain a good reputation, health, and school spirit for the university and its audience.  Being a University Majorette takes commitment, time, effort and sacrifice, but it is a very rewarding experience in the end.  Majorettes have to give up a few things, however, they will gain so much!  If for some reason a majorette has to miss practice and/or performance, she should request in writing to the majorette coordinator to get it excused.

How much money will I have to pay?
The Troy University Majorettes are under the “Sound of the South” marching band and are expected to be a part of the band at every function.  The majorette coordinator along with the team members will aide in raising money through donations and fund raisers.  Each majorette will be responsible for the following items:

Majorette uniform
Boots
Pep rally uniform
Practice uniform
Wind suit
Accessories-(pantyhose/barrette/earrings/duffle bag)

The head majorette and majorette coordinator will work together to order all items referenced above and will advise you of the monies that will be due.

What will I receive?
More than anything, you will receive the privilege of being a part of the best band in the south and will make memories that will be cherished forever.

Other items of interest…..
Majorettes will meet once a month during the summer months of May, June, and July.  Band camp will be held for two weeks during the month of August.
